The owner's guide

How to get ceramic coating leads.

Start with the calls you already get. Answer every one, quote a band from your menu, ask for photos and book the inspection, and follow up every missed call. Then grow what makes the phone ring: your Google Business Profile, your reviews and the customers you already have.

Why do the calls come first?

Every lead source ends at your phone, and one coating is a big job to lose.

Professional ceramic coating typically runs $700 to $2,000 for most vehicles.

Part one

Book the calls you already pay for.

Four steps, in order.

  1. 01

    Answer every call.

A coating caller wants a price and a date. The shop that answers gets to give them.

If you are in the booth when the phone rings, a front desk has to answer for you. That is the job we built DetailFront for: it answers in your shop's name, 24/7, quotes from your menu and books the job.

In a CallRail survey of 1,000 US consumers, 82% say they'll call a competitor if a business doesn't answer, and 42% leave a voicemail.

  2. 02

Quote a band, not a guess.

Give the coating's band from your menu for the vehicle's size and paint condition, and say the paint is corrected first.

Confirm the final price when you see the car.

Housecall Pro advises quoting every ceramic coating on its own, because the paint correction it needs first varies from car to car.

  3. 03

Ask for photos, then book the inspection.

A coating is quoted after a look at the paint. Ask for photos by text, then book the drop-off or the inspection.

A photo at 9pm should still get an answer that night.

  4. 04

    Follow up every missed call.

Some calls will slip. Text back the same day, and treat a website chat like a ringing phone.

Keep a list of the coating calls that did not book, and why.

In a study of 85 small businesses across 58 industries, about 6 in 10 calls went unattended.

Part two

Then grow what makes the phone ring.

We know of no sourced survey of where coating leads come from, so track your own calls and grow what books.

Your Google Business Profile

Fill in your services, your area and your real hours, and keep your phone number on it.

Your reviews

Ask every customer for a review after the job, and reply to each one. DetailFront sends the ask after the visit, with your Google review link.

The customers you already have

Every coating you sell is a car to see again. A rebook text brings it back and fills slow weeks.

Bought leads, last

Buy more only once the calls you already get are answered and booked.

Google switched off Business Profile chat on July 31, 2024, so your phone and texts are the way in (Google Business Profile Help).

The coating questions owners ask.

How do I get more ceramic coating customers?

Start with the calls you already get. Answer every one, quote a band from your menu, ask for photos and book the inspection, and follow up every missed call. Then grow what makes the phone ring: your Google Business Profile, your reviews and the customers you already have.

Should I buy ceramic coating leads?

Only once the calls you already get are answered and booked. A bought lead becomes a job only when someone picks up, quotes and asks for the booking.

What should I say when someone calls for a ceramic coating price?

Give the band from your menu for their vehicle size and paint condition, say the paint is corrected first, and book the inspection. Housecall Pro puts most professional coatings at $700 to $2,000 (October 2026).

What should I do about the calls I miss?

Text back the same day and keep a list of what did not book and why. To miss fewer, forward the calls you can't take to a front desk that answers, quotes and books the job.

Keep going.

Book the calls you already get.

We set DetailFront up around your menu, hours and rules. You keep your number.
